Why more people don't do the day trip from southampton to Hythe, for a look around and a cuppa combined with a nice trip over the water and a pier train ride is unclear. It is something any visitor to Southampton should do

Quickest way of getting to town and really lovely in summer looking out across the sea. Staff are always really friendly too.
