Next to our hotel and very historic leading up to the old town. The shore line was here but reclamation has pushed this out of sight. Was well protected and clearly very important.

Westgate is part of the Walls walk and includes the relocated timber framed Medieval Cloth Hall which was relocated to this site. Unfortunately the Hall and nearby building are not open to the public. It is as if Southampton is embarrassed by its medieval past...More
