The Hereford Cider Museum is very overpriced for what it is. We spent about 20 minutes looking around the displays, but they weren't interactive at all. We were also expecting free tasters of some of the local ciders, but we were only offered one. It wasn't very busy, and I can see why. I think we were the only people... More

We had a meeting in the cider museum and were lucky enough to be able to look around in our break. Its very interesting to see how the cider was produced in the past and that it is not so different now. To see the old press and the storage facility where perry was kept etc was great. They had... We live in Hereford but had never visited this museum, so as it was wet and we had time on our hands we decided we would support it, especially as it has been recently refurbished. It is a really interesting place to visit and the fact you can go around at your own pace meant there was lots of time... More

This museum was opposite the Travelodge hotel we stayed at, so very convenient to pop in for a tour! The museum is self-guided, so you are left to yourself to explore, which is fine except when you want to ask questions on the spot, although the staff were very helpful and friendly. Very interesting and worth a visit.

Spending New Year just outside Hereford, we (a group of 7 adults) were looking for things to do & places to see. The Cider Museum hardly featured on any local tourist websites, but the brown 'tourist' signs caught our eye and we were pleased to find the place open. I think the volunteer manning the welcome counter must have thought... More

Hello Dryhen, Thank-you for the lovely review. We're a great place to come on a rainy January day! We'd be very interested in which websites you looked at so we can try to address the problem you described of lack of local coverage. Best wishes, Elizabeth. More

A fascinating museum covering the history of cider making, the Bulmer family and development of Bulmer's in Hereford. Good sections on the workforce and how Fred Bulmer cared for his workers. Lots of inter active displays both adults and youngsters. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit crowned by a very friendly lady on reception who makes excellent cups if tea. The... More

We had a weekend in Herefordshire and I persuaded my husband that this museum sounded interesting - I was right, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and spent a couple of hours there and were fascinated by the displays and the history of Bulmers. The two ladies who were looking after the place were also very welcoming and made us some... More
