Great immersive escape room but could have been so much better for my sister and myself (both hearing impaired) had there been subtitles for the audio sections. There was such a lot of audio only sections, which were difficult for all of our group but for my sister and I they were almost impossible. It meant we missed so so much of the experience.
Recommend the escape room as the concept was great but access could be improved for many with one simple step.

One of the best escape rooms I have done in the UK. A must go if you are a fan of historical prisons, escape rooms basically anything geeky. This was so much fun.

Our party of five did the Westgate Towers Communications room. Great fun. Very atmospheric and will certainly come again for a different experience. Our host was brilliant and the puzzles were taxing but achievable after a lot of thought. We ended the evening with a lovely meal in a Cell at the Pound Restaurant. Excellent.

An excellent experience from start to finish. Well hosted and lots of fun. The clues and puzzle solving was pitched to test the old brain matter but not impossible. The odd extra guidance clue from the host came in handy from time to time! This was our second escape room with this company and did not disappoint.

First time doing an escape room, and it was brilliant. So much fun. Matt the guy running it was fantastic he made the experience even more fun, and his knowledge of the history of the towers was amazing. Highly recommend. We can’t wait to try the other 2 rooms.

Absolutely brilliant escape room, takes place in the old cells in central Canterbury. Really atmospheric, truly authentic capturing the experience of the environment so well. Am giving no spoilers.
We got out in 37 minutes, with no clues, which is a record for us (we have done a few escape tooms before). It's not that it was easy at all, but we were on it that day.
Our host Elliot was superb, really friendly, entertaining and was a really enjoyable debrief.
And if you time it right you can eat downstairs in the restaurant, where you can sit in a cell to dine and you get 10% off the bill, so a nice way to finish the experience.

We did the crime and punishment escape room. It was so well done. Won’t give too much away but a lot of clever twists. The guy who explained it and was managing was fantastic. He got us into the mood of it all perfectly. Will definitely go back and do one of their other rooms.

Cold. Small. Dark. Loud. Damp. Those were the combinations of this escape room that I didn't enjoy. If you have more than 2 people then this isn't the activity for you.

We did 'The Crime & Punishment Lab' - really fun experience. Four of us in the team and we completed it in 37'50, which is a record time for us in any escape room (and no clues either) and I think we just happened to be 'on it', this weekend! Great mix of puzzles, lots of fun, well put together. Shout out to our host Elliot too for a good welcome and then enjoyable debrief after.
Highly recommend if you like a good traditional escape room but in a great setting - you are actually playing in the cells of the old jail.

Hi I’m looking to book for two people, the website suggests it could take 1-2 hours In the escape room is this estimated nearer 1 or 2 hours with only two people? (Does it take longer with less people) thank you

Depends on the the room you are picking but yes - I would say it will take longer with less people. Also depends on whether you are first timers or know your escape rooms!
Is this activity doable for non-native English speakers?

Your English would need to be of quite a good level to understand the instructions and puzzles, I think. Don't have to be fluent, but a good level. If you are able to get around in your own, and do activities of daily life OK in English, I think you'd be OK.

Can you book for just two people? Or will you get mixed in with strangers?
