Houdini’s Magic Bar a place out of the ordinary! A little bit quirky and a lot Magical! Every evening you are invited to join us, settle in and experience Miracles of Magic whilst enjoying great drinks and great company. See shows, close up and exclusive performances by our Resident Magician’s, many of whom are members of the prestigious Black Card Club and Magic Circle. Houdini’s Magic Bar first opened in the Dickensian town of Broadstairs in 2016. It is a warm and welcoming place to come and enjoy fine refreshments and is home to some of Kent’s finest Magicians. We are proud to have won Newcomer of the Year 2017 in the Kent Life Food and Drink Awards. Houdini’s now has a second bar in Canterbury, both Magic Bars celebrate all that is Magic and the interiors lend themselves to a whole manner of Magic curiosities. All of customers are welcomed to while away the hours with us in a bar like no other! Come in for a catch up, a great drink and enjoy live Magic.

Children’s Magic Party

We had a children’s ‘Magic Party’ at Houdini’s for my son’s 5th birthday with 11 friends. It was a brilliant party and amazing magic show - Houdini’s took care of everything and provided a stellar magic show, hot dogs, nachos, drinks and party bags - and also helped with the cake prep, service and photos. Hugo and his friends had a really super time - thanks Houdini’s for a really memorable and easy party!

Great place for a kids birthday party

Hosted my son's 9th birthday party here today and it was excellent. The kids were entertained from start to finish and it was a really good alternative to the usual options like trampolining or inflatable play. Would definitely recommend.

Unexpectedly amazing

Simply amazing. We found this by searching on Google and popped along. Its incredible...Ashley Green was there (mind reader extraordinaire) and was incredible...Best evening ever
Drinks fairly priced, great atmosphere and the entertainment is off the the chain...just go and see for yourselves

Perfect Children’s party

We held our daughters 6th birthday party here and it was fantastic! Sam and Matt took care of everything, all the entertainment, photos, food and drinks. It was a completely stress-free experience for the parents which means we got to enjoy the magic too! If you’re looking for a unique party I can’t recommend Houdini’s Magic Bar enough! Thank you so much guys, can’t wait to come back <3

A real gem of a find

We popped in for a quick drink and wished we had been able to stay longer. A real gem of a find with good beer, amazing atmosphere and incredible magic. We will rerun to Canterbury simply to visit Houdinis. Please can you open up in Hertfordshire?!

One to go and visit

Was visiting Canterbury on a weekend.
Popped into Houdini’s for a quick drink.
Mathew was performing some magic for a family with a little girl.
Then he went on to perform some tricks with ropes for everyone
Great way to spend a few hours.
We then had our own performance.
Still trying to work out how he did it
If you are in the area this place is a must
It’s a ‘Have to’ visit place

An entertaining night

We had a very entertaining evening with Matt and Rob. There was magic, jokes and the cocktails were delicious. What more would you want?
