If you're walking the walls you will come across these lovely gardens. Make a detour from the shopping streets and perhaps sit on a bench with your lunch. It's nice!

A lovely walk along the walls overlooking the city and suburbs beyond, lots of interesting bits of history along the way and some beautiful gardens.

Much better than walking always along the streets. Did not investigate the large play castle maze - but worth knowing that the walk along the walls overlooks it when you have "lost" a child in there who is too busy on the slide to leave.

My friend wanted to show me where he grew up so decided to take me through these gardens before heading into the town centre. The gardens are truly special. If I move to the area I would love to explore them properly.
