Great place to get away from the crowds for a while. Gorgeous setting with punting on the river. Definitely recommend if in Canterbury.

We arrived on the first day of a new tree trail, with guided tours of the various trees in the garden. Very nice people. Of course, the exceptional weather added to the crowds, but we did not feel in any way cramped.

We walked along the river and enjoy the beauty of the flowers and the riverbed. It is a great place to relax and take in the beauty of the day.

I was walking through the other day and the gardens themselves are really nice, took some good photos but it's just the people that hang around are not so nice, they're quite dodgy and does not give the garden a good vibe

Despite the municipal style of planting it remains well worth a visit, plenty of areas to take stock and reflect watching the river go slowly past. Take a good book and spend a couple of hours you will not regret it,

Hi, Dogs are allowed, there is a council pay and display at both ends and there are a few cafes relatively close by in the town centre.
