Lovely gardens in Central location

This hotel was really picturesque with a lovely river running through it. It is situated just off the high street and lies adjacent to the west gate of the city.

Beautiful unspoilt part of Canterbury with its quaint little bridges and meandering footpaths alongside fragrant flowers and crystal clear water. Great place to have a picnic suitable for everyone whatever age

Perfect for families there's something for every age: river punts, toddler and children's playground, beautiful flower and plant displays (Britain in Bloomington finalists 2016) and a river (with ducks to feed) runs through it too! Unmissable

What a beautiful garden this, very well kept by the council and the public. The guys on the punts are friendly and waved while we fed the ducks (please not bread as it gives them Angel Wing - try sweet corn). A really charming place to chill, for a picnic or feeding the hungry ducks.

Take a delightful stroll a!omg the river, admire the plantings, people watch, enjoy the surrounding buildings and views. It will put a smile on your face and a spring in your step.

A delightful flat walk way alongside the river with crossing bridges and shaded areas. Good clean up of graffiti areas with wall murals.A real treat for the kids is just beyond - Toddlers Cove - an open air adventure playground set in rolling grassy banks. And an ice cream van and toilets.

I reviewed the gardens two years ago but on this occasion I marked it down 2 stars purely because of some of the unsavory people hanging around. It appears to be a place for drunks to congregate and also on this occasion a person who was approaching everybody to beg for money. i appreciate for some it's "needs must" but... More
