Lovely gardens situated by the West Gate in Canterbury. Long and thin they accompany the River Stour through part of the City. As well as the brighlty coloured flower patches there are large grassed areas for people to relax in/play sport and a playground for...More

Beautiful gardens along the River Stour. Lovely walks past the old monastery, the Bishops Palace and, on the opposite side of the river the old mill. Lovely to relax among the Weeping Willows and on the grassy banks of the river.

Lovely grass park with great flower arrangements and incorporation of the remaining Westgate walls. I visited in spring so it was nice to see punters and blooming flowers.

A nice narrowish park in the centre of Canterbury, the green space has a variety of plants though some beer cans and rubbish litter some areas of the park.

If you are in Canterbury do stroll down to the bottom of the town and walk through these beautiful gardens , lots places to sit and just enjoy, or take a longer walk. Beautiful and wel kept at all times of the year.

This is a delightful park, lots of see, beautiful trees and leads into Toddler's Cove, a great place to take grandchildren. There are some rare and stunning trees and it feels a safe place to be.

For a park in a city, Westgate Gardens is particularly beautiful. Planted with many different trees, shrubs, flowers and bedding plants it's a joy to walk through in all seasons. The shallow river running through it adds a great deal to the charm with its...More
