A bit out of the way, but this is a nice little bookshop. My wife was looking for a few specific books for her classes, and the shop carried some of the titles.

This was a revisit for us. I do love to go to second hand bookshops when in these sort of towns/cities. Loads of stock across two floors, ranging from transport and children's books to local history and Kelly's Directories. I bought one book on this occasion, which I noticed afterwards was 20% dearer than it's original price. I appreciate that rare books can increase in value, but this one hadn't when looking on Abebooks or Amazon. That's really my fault though, and I should have queried or bartered at the till! Anyway, if you fancy perusing old hard to find books, I thoroughly recommend this place.

A wonderful shop. Staff is always friendly but let you browse at your own pace. There are a lot of valuable books but also a number of good bargains on vintage and newer used books as well. Easy to find things even though there are books in every corner.

The shop is not on the Main Street so if you want to find it you have to look or know where to go. When inside it does look a bit haphazard, but there is some sort of order to it. Good for browsing, but if you want something specific it might be best to ask or check online before going. Definitely worth seeking out if you are a bibliophile in Canterbury.

I try and visit this shop each time I visit Canterbury which is probably once a month and I don't think I've ever come away empty-handed. It's in a quieter side street but still very central to the main shopping thoroughfares and very close to the bus station and car parks and a few minutes short walk from Canterbury East train station. Attention is always paid to their windows in the form of a theme and they hold a very good range of stock which is well arranged and ordered to make for pleasant browsing. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful and obviously love books. I have found some wonderful books there and have to be strict with myself not to buy too many! There is also an attractive range of tasteful greeting cards and antique prints. I highly recommend this to all who love bookshops; you can browse and be pleasantly surprised or be very confident of finding something to suit a specific need.
