Peace and quiet

Lovely church in centre of Dover. It's not big, but it's not small either. You can just sit inside and enjoy the peace and quiet and you can adore the pretty architecture too.

400 year old church where wetherspoons restaurant across the road gets it name from, the 8 bells. Lovely architecture and worth stopping to view and read the history. Sadly it was closed due to the rain

We visited the church almost by mistake while walking from the station to the castle and it was a very pleasant surprise. It is small church with ancient arcades and a bulky tower and though it has a very long history there is nothing outstanding but during our visit (on a Saturday) we were invited to join a group of... Beautiful church set in the shopping area of Dover. This is like an oasis of calm and beauty amongst the hustle and bustle of the shops. Great architecture arches running length ways down the church a beautiful fresco up high above a huge pendulum swing in high in the air. This place is well worth a visit. There are toilets... More

We decided to come into this church as we were walking the streets in Dover. We were greeted with very sweet docents and we pinned our city to their map! Lovely historic church to visit.

We only viewed this church from the outside. The structure is very impressive looking and is steeped in history.

We had some time to spend waiting for our ferry to France. What a treat it was to find this church! The architecture is interesting but the way they used small rocks in the construction is quite remarkable! If you're spending even a little time in Dover, find this church!

We had our daughter baptised here, and wish I had my older children baptised here. This church is simply beautiful, the Rev is a very kind and helpful man too. Ontop of the service he even took time to ask me about a personal issue I had. The building is very well looked after and left me speechless when I... More

You don't have to be a churchgoer or even a Christian to recognize and understand when and why a church has been loved. This church allows you to almost touch all those generations who have through history treasured its calm. Some places just feel special and this little church in the heart of Dover is one of them.

Stepped in history. Fab stained glass windows. Check out the gravestone of Captain William Hart who died at the battle of waterloo
