A traditional pub with good beer, friendly locals and a warm welcome. Sort of a blast from the past. Would like to see a greater range of draft ale but I guess this depends on local demand.

Brilliant conversation and a very friendly public house. The beer is good and lots of snacks at the bar. The pub is cosy and warm.

The Carriers arms situated in Dover is in my opinion the best pub around. There is an all round friendly atmosphere and vibe. Walking in on my first visit I was made to feel extremely welcome and soon slipped into conversation with the locals. Everyone was polite and well mannered and after having a few more of the delicious beers I decided I'd definitely be returning. There is a juke box and a pool table which is available for use too. I've never had a better pub experience and that's why the Carriers in my humble opinion is the place to go!

I have visited this pub 3 times now. The first time I stood there for 5 minutes while 2 others sat at the bar with no staff in sight so left. The 2nd time I managed to get a drink finally, but the lady serving me was rude and acted as if serving me was a chore. The final time me and some friends popped in for last orders 20 minutes before closing time and the landlord made it absolutely clear we wasn't welcome so late. I know locals who rate this place high, but if you are not one don't expect respect
