Went for a mile along the coast towards Broadstairs at low tide under the cliff. Nice clean beach - middle of winter so almost no one on it.

We walk dogs, a lot, and the beach from the 'rainbow steps' eastwards is dog friendly all year round. Enter the beach from the pretty harbour. Water at 'Spoons or not. Choose to walk on the sand or on the esplanade. If the tide is...More

My family and i enjoy popping along down to ramsgate main sands regularly, but feel the sand should be raked more often.

Understandably, the sands are only open to dogs in the winter and early Spring. But what a treat they are then! For the really energetic, one can walk all along the sands from Ramsgate to Margate past Broadstairs and round the headland in 2 hours....More

Now that the new Weatherspoons has opened on the beach this part of Ramsgate will probably start to get really busy in school holidays so make sure you arrive early for parking spaces

A nice long beach, warm in the summer and cool in the winter but none the less a really solid seaside beach.

We stayed at a property within walking distance of the beach. It is a beautiful sandy beach which is dog friendly out of season.

I recently visited ramsgate main sands, everything was great until we got to the beach, there was sand absolutely everywhere. Far too much of it. So I left. When the locals and council keep the beach sand free I may return

A lovely beach very clean not crowded but the best bit is the vertical lift. So English and something I love. Something quirky. Visit another at Broadstairs.

Sincerely sorry for the delay just seen your question. That is correct you can take your dog on the beach in full season past the arches/steps up the front. I walked the dog in the main section but this was very early in... More

There is plenty of parking with multystory car park and parking meters.Dogs are baned from beaches from May to September. The hiring of Sunbeds and Parasols are not expensive just a few pounds.
