Just with couple steps, you can enjoy better view. On the way to Jenkin Crag, there are lots of tall and unique trees. It's a big joy passing through the forest and then go to the top.

Although this is a great view (most in the Lake District are) there are better views just 100-200m further up the path! There are lots of rocks to sit on though, so it's a good place to stop for a rest!

There are no bad views in the Lake District. No bad walks or drives either. Even cloudy, drizzling days are great

Stubbled into this on the walk from Ambleside up to Wansfell Pike. Great views of the lake and a fun little geocache if you're interested!

Fantastic View over the lake and a good anchor point to abseil down . great couple of hours. Nice steady walk up to the Cragg on proper paths and roads . Also sets you on your way to the fells

Living a relatively short distance away from Jenkin Crag we are able to walk up on a somewhat regular basis. It's a bit of a steep climb from the Ambleside direction but so well worth it for the stunning view over Windermere.

Passing by the crag, on our walk back to Ambleside, we stopped for the view - very nice and worth the stop, but not one of the greatest in the Lake District.

Just below Ambleside (south) Lowfold Car Park, there are some free spaces at the back, there is a signpost off Old Lake Rd for Wansfell, Jenkin's Crag.
