Adorable and a must see. It only takes a few mins - twin with a visit to the Apple Pie shop and you are good to go!

The Bridge House is a very unusual building which is quite small and inside two very small, plain rooms but it has become one of the most important icons of the Lake District. Its interesting to pop inside for a few minutes.

It is possible to go in to the house. According to the national trust 6 people never lived there. It was used as an apple storage and then one person lived there.

Beautiful sight in Ambleside close to shops and restaurants. It's third time we travelled in Lake district and every time we enjoyed our trip.

Only 2 rooms to this NT property...up and down. Originally built as an apple store now a quaint but free attraction in Ambleside. Not a lot to see but worth it for uts one of a kind.

You cannot really miss this as the house is on the main road from Windermere to Grasmere, but its well worth stopping to go look inside - car park just after on left (assuming no-one else is, it is really small in there!)
