At about 1000 feet. Fantastic views. Slate everywhere, with some imaginative carvings, lots for sale. Well worth a visit and browse. Road up and down the other side has some excellent views too.

I friend and I recently completed the Via Ferrata Extreme at Honister and had an extremely good experience in the hands of Ken, our guide for the day. This is a great day out for the more adventurous in an extremely professional well run atmosphere.
