Not.sure what the fuss is about. Not exactly the Niagara falls! Pretty enough but nothing special and very busy in the summer.

We have visited on both trips to The Lakes now, Dec 2016 & May 2017. Wasn't disappointed on either occasion. The staff were really knowledgable & helpful, we had a pram in December so were advised on the route to take & how far we'd get. Fast forward this trip & our 23 month old walked the whole thing, steps... More

Lovely peaceful spot for a walk in the lake district. The rivers, waterfalls and woods are beautiful on a fine day.The ground is very uneven in places so will not suit everyone.

We rather stumbled upon this by accident, when the Ferry man said there was a waterfall here. This is a National Trust place, beautifully kept, with a large number of different trees to see (which are all named) then you follow the stream up to an amazing waterfall, lots of vantage places for photos, please see some of ours

Parked for free in the National Trust car park as we are members but now even members have to obtain a ticket by scanning that square squiggly thing on the membership card at the ticket machine. The reason for this is beyond me (unless the Trust wish to keep tabs on the number of members visiting, and which members too)... More

A nice place to visit if you want to spend an hour or so on a short walk. The waterfall is picturesque and the whole setting very photogenic. There are two car parks, one by the lake offers a longer steeper walk. The other, up the hill provides easier access. Both walks involve some steep sections and lots of steps... More

We started at the parking near the lake. In the beginning it was rather easy, just till the first view on the waterfall. You can go higher just till the bridge above the waterfall. Even when you have more courage you can follow the river higher up. You have to climb a little and its more difficult. You need good... More
