This really was a great find for us. Booked last minute. Turned up for the ride at 2.00pm on Friday. Everybody there was very friendly and helpful. After a few instructions from Paris, who incidentally was really great with Hannah, they were ready to go. As it happens it was just the two of them that went and that was... More

Really lovely hack with Paris who was a great guide! Was definitely worth it and would go again, me and my partner were lucky as another couple were late so we went out just the 3 of us, nice views, the occasional Trot on Derby and Jigsaw, even saw two deer which were very close and not even bothered by... We took our two daughters and four grandchildren. They had such a good time. Two youngest on lead reins and the others tho not experienced riders did so well. Very friendly staff who really know their horses and treat them very well. So, great staff who know their job and took good care of everybody, wonderful scenery and no rain!!... More

Really sweet and well looked after ponies, had the most amazing 2 hour hack with breathtaking scenery. A big thanks to Mike who was a terrific guide with a great sense of humour! Had some great uphill canters, I was asked when I booked if I would like a fast or steady horse and went with the steady one 'Derby'... More

My wife and I thought we'd have a try at pony trekking and went to Lakeland Pony Trek after reading other reviews on this site. I was initially surprised at what I considered to be quite expensive at £70 for us for the hour-but we are from the North East and have quite high expectations of value for money! We... More

My daughter and I went on the lead rein ride (30 mins) which you get to see some views and go round the holiday park. The horses were bomb proof and our guide very good with my chatty daughter! I'm sure the more adventurous rides would let you see some breathtaking views.

We waited for quite a long time for three late arrivals and then our 30 mins was more like 20 mins. My daughter and I couldn't ride together she was stuck in front with a child who was an unbearable show off. We walked around the campsite so no scenery. A complete waste of time and money.

Myself a rider plus my husband, a basic rider, and our 2 girls 9 and 7 who both ride (walk trot canter jump unaided in a school environment) all went together on a group ride with another family. Lisa the leader and Abby her assistant were excellent. Very accommodating and friendly. We were all safe in their hands. A walk... More
