One of the nicest, friendliest small pubs I've been in over 45yrs. All the bar staff are friendly and welcoming. Being Blackpool its customers vary during the day between locals, older tourists usually couples and people just passing through to nights usually when the younger crowd hit the town. Never seen any trouble in the place on the occasions I've... More

We visited during the week, it was lashing rain in Blackpool and this pub was a welcoming respite, not a large selection of Ales but what they had were tasty, pleasant staff, one to visit.

Thanks for the lovely review. Sometimes wish we had more space for more choice, but being the smallest pub in Blackpool means we are restricted on space. We are glad you enjoyed your visit though. Come again soon. More

After quite a few horror shows along the seafront it was nice to stumble upon a proper pub, with a decent jukebox. Would definitely visit again.

Thank you for a very enjoyable weekend. The staff are wonderful. Very friendly and professional. You have made our stay fantastic. Thoroughly recommend. The best smallest pub in Blackpool. Won't be long before we are back.

One of my favourite pubs in Blackpool, just off the promenade between North Pier and Tower. Always seems busy, but service speedy with friendly staff who are a great asset to the pub. Great value food and a good range of drinks lead to many return visits as a weekends in town. Some wonderful photos of old Blackpool.

We popped in here with our suitcases on the way to our hotel after being stopped by a man outside being friendly. But as we entered it was like walking into some kind of western film! All eyes fixated on us! There were no seats left so we stood against a ledge and had a drink. The three women who... More

Im sorry you did not have a positive visit. The chap you spoke with to start is a local, but I can confirm that the vast majority of people you saw in the pub that day were visitors not locals. We do have a local trade, but the Mitre is very well known as a tourist bar as well. Being... More

Often passed this place but never fancied it. I went in purely because of the good reviews. Wish I'd trusted the bad ones. The drinks are top end Blackpool prices - more expensive than Ma Kelly's, Wetherspoons, Walkabout, Soul Suite and most other venues. The bar staff is Scottish and confrontational. The music is deafening. The atmosphere is undpectacular and... More

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your visit. However, the majority of your review is based on one visit, out of season and in some of the worst weather of the year. This was when Cumbria was first being flooded, so no surprise that it wasn't busy - nowhere was in Blackpool. A tourist trap - nothing further from the... More
