Having visited many National Trust stately homes, we expected to have a similar experience at Doddington Hall, a privately owned property. But we were pleasantly surprised. Over the centuries Doddington has never been sold but has always been passed on from one generation to the next (often to a daughter rather than a son). Because of this, there has never... More

We were passing Doddington Hall this morning and decided to call into the cafe for breakfast. Having chosen from the menu I ordered at the counter from a very sullen lady. Some time later our food and coffees arrived both of which were ok but not the best we'd ever had. After this we had a good look around the... More

I live just outside lincoln and visit doddington hall on a regular basis...usually to eat in the restaurant and shop. The restaurant is always good ...though on the pricey / special side . The shop/ deli is also great and they have a wide range of locally sourced products and tasteful gifts However we visited today with our two grandchildren... More

I have been on a number of occasions to Doddington Hall, visiting the farm shop, cafe and restaurant. The grounds are well kept and provide an excellent backdrop to the stunning Hall. The cream tea is excellent value which is served on traditional classical crockery adding a touch of elegance to the occasion. The farm shop is well worth visiting... More

I love visiting the farm shop . The fresh produce is superb with many fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden. The meat and cheese areas are a gourmets delight and then have very good lambs liver, one of my favourite meats.....Doddington honey and preserves are complimented with a range of quality condiments and delicious treats from the bakery. In... More

Excellent house and gardens to visit, brilliant shopping all year round from Halloween pumpkins, to the Bauble barn, followed by spring bulbs and Sarah Jane interiors. Excellent dining too, not only for dinner time, but lunch too.

Doddington Hall has been imaginatively used to maximise it's potential. There is a superb cafe which uses local grown food. The service is always efficient. A very good farm shop. Your can browse India Jane if you want furnishing for your house. There are walks and we always go in the summer when the sculpture exhibition is on. A lovely way... More
