Nice gentle museum of how people used to live. Civilian life mainly, but also some military history. More interesting than we expected and bigger than we expected. In an old barracks, just about adequate parking, coffee shop trying hard. They badly need a lottery grant to improve their facilities but meanwhile they are doing well. Free admission. We enjoyed it.

Interesting insight in to time gone by. Trip back in time seeing how people lived without modern day technology. The birth place of the tank. Plenty of things to entertain children including a little play area. Good place to visit and mainly free to get in

Our trip was very enjoyable and we learnt a lot about what life used to be like in the olden days. There was a man there who was riding Penny Farthing which was very impressive. I do recommend it. :)

Interesting museum which adds colour and background to the more political and military history you get from the cathedral and castle.

When you have nothing to do, visit the museum of life! It's free and always has something to look at, trying on the old clothes! It's something good and interesting to visit for definite.

This place is fabulous. The children love it here, both the outsude play area and the relics. We visit here on a regular basis and will be doing for years to come.

Its free and just 5 mins walk from the castle. A beautiful and well laid out look back at Lincoln life from bygone days with insights on the Lincolnshire military and the story of the first tansk made right in Lincoln for WW1. Loved the old shops and rooms, which reminded us of our grand parents homes.

A wonderful, eclectic collection of household effects and tools, through militaria, to farm and war machinery, showcasing Lincoln's rich engineering history. Entirely free to enter, it has a cafe and a great little playground for the children.
