Getting busy again

One of Liverpool's major tourist districts ,The Cavern Quarter is the first destination for most every fan of The Beatles, with Mathew Street at the heart of the Cavern Quarter there's so much to see, so much to enjoy and so much to take in, great architecture, pubs, bars and restaurants, live music ,its just a really good area to visit, with the lifting of some of the coronavirus lockdown restrictions lifted for the hard hit hospitality sector with pubs and bars being allowed to serve inside and outside this area is bouncing and coming into the Summer and coupled with the great success of the vaccines its going to get busier ,great news for the hospitality sector and great news for people like me who enjoy life and living and not being isolated and locked down.
A wonderful area of Liverpool, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning to visit Liverpool.

Its safe to say that 2020 was a year that was devastating for most every country in the world, the terrible pandemic visited upon us took a terrible toll on both people's health and the economy's of the world, the great vaccines that have been developed and successfully rolled out, in the UK alone over 18 million people have had the jab and its only February, Boris announced our roadmap out of the 3rd and final lockdown, not perfect but a start ,from the 12th of April pubs, bars and restaurants will be allowed to open with outside service only, from the 17th of May all pubs, bars and restaurants will be allowed to open up both inside and outside and from June & July hopefully back to normality, this is absolutely fantastic news and a beacon of light for the hospitality sector which has been mauled by the government lockdowns, at the moment walking around The Cavern Quarter is depressing, everything's shut down ,a ghost town, the normally buzzing Mathew Street deserted but come April & May things will change, pubs, bars and bars will reopen, the vibe will return, when travel opens up the tourists will return, I personally am so optimistic, the scientists have done an extraordinary job of creating vaccines that are taming this virus, the wonderful N H.S were I have worked in for over 30 years is doing a marvellous job in delivering the jabs ,its a positive time ,a time to reflect on the carnage of the last year and look forward to a wonderful future and appreciate the liberty's we lost in the lockdowns such as meeting family and friends, socialising and enjoying life ,I can't wait to visit The Cavern Quarter in April, have already booked time of work ,a wonderful area ,most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and when the final lockdown is lifted.

Bit quieter at the moment.

My twin brother Stephen and I visited The Cavern Quarter just after the 1st coronavirus pandemic lockdown restrictions were lifted and pre tier three coronavirus pandemic restrictions that ultimately led to the 2nd lockdown and compared to normal times this usually very touristic area of Liverpool was very quiet.
A haunt of every Beatle fan as Mathew Street is contained within The Cavern Quarter, lots of pubs ,bars and restaurants with many with Beatles connections ,in fact the only Beatles themed hotel in the world is located here namely Hard Days Night Hotel ,theres also statues to all The Beatles in this area ,we visited a few pubs here ,pubs such as The Welkin Pub ,Legends Bar,The White Star Pub ,had a great time ,as stated earlier in this review, it was quiet in all these establishments but with the great news about the various vaccines being rolled out we could be seeing the end of the covid 19 pandemic very soon and this area of Liverpool will once again be bouncing, well worth checking out if you're planning on visiting Liverpool.

Too busy

The most popular area for a night out in Liverpool, we headed over about 630pm hoping it would be quieter but it was heaving. The street is quite narrow and bars have created outdoor areas presumably to increase numbers but this means there’s less walking room so social distancing is impossible. Plus they are operating a one in one out system meaning there are queues everywhere. We went in Cavern pub, once inside it was fab but think there needs to be a safer system in place.

The Cavern Quarter as you can probably guess from the name is the district in Liverpool that emanates from Mathew Street and Mathew Street is a street synonymous with The Beatles.
The area around Mathew Street is packed with all manner of pubs, bars and restaurants many with connections to The Beatles ,you also have the Magical Beatles Museum and the Hard Days Night Hotel ,the only Beatles inspired hotel in the world.
The Cavern Quarter is a very popular tourist destination, packed seven days a week ,its most definitely an area to explore ,start at Mathew Street and just enjoy the area around this wonderful district.
