It's not a LGBT pub anymore, but it's a quiet pub with fantastic food and cheap booze. The music is very discoey, and it's a great place to have a drink at prior to going out clubbing in Shoreditch. The welcome's phenomenal, too! The guy who owns the pub used to own Cable Nightclub, and there are some memories of the place in the toilets. Seriously - you have to go there.…

Well what can you really say about a pub...serves decent drinks, eclectic crowd with music to match. It be nice if the DJ played the music a little louder as sometimes can't hear it over the chatter - but yeah, this is a dying breed of a decent LGBT pub so lets keep it open!!

Had a few drinks here with friends saturday night. The place is beautifully decorated with an assortment of paintings, cardboard cut outs, plants, fairy lights and even the head of a horse! It is not big, particularly considering there are quite a few tables and chairs around. There is a DJ spinning on the upper deck a variety of 80s anthems mixed with the odd Britney Spears and Kylie. The crowd is mostly gay, plenty of tall handsome men and quite a few women scattered around. All very friendly and polite! Drinks on offer are a mixture of beers, spirits and some mixers, served by smiley and professional staff. This is place is perhaps one of e best modern pubs in London. Highly recommended!…

My friend and I went to George and Dragon pub for a few drinks on a Saturday evening - what a nightmare! The stench of the place is the first thing which comes to mind. Secondly the 'DJ' kept screaming random insults at the crown all night which was obviously very annoying and made it impossible to enjoy a friendly evening. We bought a bottle of cava for a celebratory birthday drink and after 30 minutes were told to leave the pub because it was closing (at 00:00), we were ordered to leave the champagne and "get out of the bar now". I told the staff that it was very unprofessional of them to serve a bottle of champagne knowing that the pub would close in half an hour to which the barman shouted at my friend and I and said "you're really -ing aannoying me now - just get the . out!" - he basically threw plastic cups at us and told us to put the champagne in cups and leave (even though it is an offence to drink in the streets of tower hamlets). We were faced with 5 young bar staff insulting us and I recommend anyone thinking of going here to avoid! I don't want to speculate too much but I assume the staff were all taking some form of drugs by their odd and offensive behaviour. when I asked for the name of the extremely rude and offensive bar staff he told me he was called Joe and that I should mind my ing business.…
