Many people will pass through these gates without realising they are a memorial to the involvement and sacrifice of the British Empire as it existed then, for better or worse.

Rarely appreciated by most tourists, these memorial gates on Green park are absolutely lovely. You can spot a few people stopping and paying their respects.

The Commonwealth memorial gates are a marvellous tribute to the fighting forces of WWI & II of the British Empire, lots of history. With all the other items at the top of constitution Hill to see this is another one not to be missed, well...More

This memorial is a good place to remember the atrocities of world wars. It is not the most decorative of memorials in the world though.
