Minus one incident with a rude staff member... the visit to the Tower of London was an enjoyable and informative one. The preservation efforts are fantastic and the characters role playing was a fun touch for the children.

Well worth your time, especially if you're a history buff. I recommend going inside but it is still worth walking the outside if you time is limited.

The yeoman warders tour that comes with the admission price is excellent. The guides are enthusiastic and u learn about and see the different parts of the tower before exploring on ur own. I found the Crown Jewels to be underwhelming it was just super crowded and half the stuff in the is just pictures or movies and u can't... More

Toured the Tower of London with a small group. It's a paid attraction so get your tickets. It's always amazing to "relive" history when in Europe. A must see when in London!

Great sight in London, by the river. It rained while i was there but enjoy it nonetheless. Lots to see in that area.

You should see the Tower while in London. You have read all the stories and heard of all the killings and deaths there so you should not miss it. Does make you sad thinking of all the Royals who met their death there simply because of their birth.

Tower of London was probably the most interesting place that I visited in London! There is so much history that has occurred there it is hard to take it all in. Definitely go on a tour lead by a Beefeater, they are incredibly informative and hilarious, and absolutely made my visit worth it. It is also very cool to see... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
