Park Lane is one of the oldest roads in London which used to united the little villages several hundreds of years ago. Previously known, around 1741, as Tyburn Lane, nowadays is one of the busiest routes in central London, stretching from Marble Arch to Hyde Park Corner with Hyde Park to one side and the gorgeous buildings and hotels to... A tree-lined road that connects Hyde Park Corner and Marble Arch along the east side of the Hyde Park is one of the most important traffic routes in central London, but also a very nice walk, only one kilometer long, with important historical buildings, fancy hotels and expensive shops.

Street lined with trees along Hyde Park with many hotels and high end shops. Beautiful architecture and buildings. Certainly a lovely stroll particularly if you're a monopoly player because now you'll have an image of Park Lane and you'll know why it's that expensive. Don't forget to take a stroll in Mayfair, another upscale London district on monopoly.

Park Lane runs between the corner of Marble Arch / Oxford Street and Hyde Park Corner. It is a tree lined boulevard and a pretty sight to behold. Park Lane is home to several luxury hotels, swanky restaurants and high end retail outlets including some interesting car dealerships. Always a pleasure to walk down the road notwithstanding the heavy traffic... More

We stayed at the Park Lane Hotel, we were just across the park from Buckingham Palace, a quick walk to the high end shopping district, and a quick cab ride to downtown London and all attractions.

Park lane runs parallel to Hyde park. We walked up park lane from the Hilton in search of the double decker bus ticket booth. Beautiful architecture and ambience.

You will normally be on Park Lane if you are staying at one of the hotels or dining in one of the hotel restaurants. If you walk down the street you can see Hyde Park on the other side of the street, which is worth a visit, whether you have 15 minutes or 3 hours to spare. If you want... More

Park Lane runs between Marble Arch corner and Hyde Park Corner on the east end of Hyde Park. It is short but contains some of the nicest hotels in the west end. There are also shops and some interesting car dealerships. It is very pretty when the Christmas decorations are lighted.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
