This was a house for the queen when away from London. It was recently refurbished. The beauty of this house is expressed in every room and hallway. Great history of the house explained by signs in the rooms.

The Queens House is a beautiful looking building, the best view of the building is probably from the Greenwich Observatory. Life is more problematic when inside, nearly devoid of furniture, the Queens House is now a gallery mainly for the artwork of the National Maritime...More

A beautiful elegant period building at the top of Greenwich park. A stunning location for a wedding but worth a look round for an hour or so

Before you even step into Queen's House, you can appreciate the historical building but looking at it from all the right vantage points: from the top of the hill next to the Royal Observatory, with the park spread before it, the Old Royal Naval College...More

A beautiful setting, lovely house, free entry. A totally amazing staircase. The member of staff on the desk recited a script and did not seem interested. No other staff visible.

Well worth a visit. The architecture and craftsmanship are stunning. The summary of use by each room entrance was very informative and such a good idea. Displays are varied as are the paintings and sculpture. Staff both helpful and informative.

The day we visited, most of the house was taken over by a large, and I mean large, rowdy party, of twenty somethings, which took away some of the pleasure. There was only the top floor to see...But what we did see was nice, lovely...More

Do visit this if you are at Greenwich park and have 30 mins to spare. The place is free and well maintained. It has lots of art on all the walls, with snippets of historical facts.

Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the
very concept of global time was established at Royal
Observatory, just one of several buildings of
architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole
of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park
and a number of related buildings (and one world
famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World
Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a
