Kings Cross has some interesting history and was a rural area in 1750. It soon grew popular and became a part of London. Eurostar operates from here as well as a very busy tube station.

Ten years ago I would have advised visitors to steer clear of this area as it was the haunt of beggars, thieves and prostitutes. There are still some problems but there is now a lot to see within a few minutes walk of the station....More

This is a much improved railway station with great facilities and restaurants. Architecturally it is not as good as St Pancras station next door. It serves both overground and underground trains. The Eurostar trains leave from St Pancras International station next door.

Old and new side-by-side- an impressive performance by the architects who have successfully updated the station area. There is a buzz about the place with both the main line station and the international hub next each other.

Home to the Kings Cross and St Pancras International train stations, this area was a busy thoroughfare when we visited - lots of people bustling around especially around the train stations and outside, the area is home to some beautiful historic buildings.

My latest visit to the Kings Cross area was to meet one son arriving from Scotland plus his brother who works near Euston for an evening out together before rugby the next day. This area is certainly up and coming, with lots of new developments...More

A very busy and bustling area as people arrive and depart from the historic station, a lot of interesting old clues to the heritage of the area if you look closely for them

I was surprised when walking through this area as it had been quite a few years (10?) since I did last. It now feels completely different and I was pleased to see the regeneration work on the stations and the surrounding buildings is bright and...More

It may be a transport hub, but the new King's Cross is also a great architectural site in itself with much to admire in the structure as commuters and travellers go about their business. Plenty of place me to eat but really just stay and...More
