At 400 years, the oldest pub in Covent Garden has hardly changed over the years and is proud of its heritage. A truely traditional English pub.

My wife and I were looking for a traditional British Pub and we found one for sure! More then one floor, good service, decent food, and good drinking! Female bartender was also helpful on drinks and helping us find a good night spot to head to after our meal and drinks. I would recommend!

Good place for a pint. Friendly staff. Place gets busy, but one of central London's best pubs. It can get packed after work, but good on a Monday night. If you're on a pub crawl for Londons historic pubs, this is a good place to check out

Lovely old London Pub with a lot of atmosphere. Drank two pints of Youngs Special beer, it's was okay. However made the mistake of asking for some pork scratchings, they came out of a large jar on the bar and served in a half pint glass. Because there was not enough to fill the glass they offered me 10% off... More

This restaurant/ pub is several hundred years old. That alone would be impressive, but the food was quite good as well. We had a couple of meat pies which came with vegetables and mashed potatoes; very tasty. We washed it all down with a local ale, which was very smooth and malty. Perfect with our meal. Our waitress was helpful... More

My sister and I had a chance to eat at the Lamb & Flag while visiting London. The dining room is quite cozy but the food was excellent. We were able to sit by a window and see the bar crowd outside...what an experience!

From J Boy of Derby Of all the pubs I have reviewed on a recent visit to London this has to be the best by a mile. It has a good range of beers it is old spooky and yes it has a ghost, it's full of old world charm, you could imagine Charles Dickens sitting at one of the... More

Arriving after a theatre visit at 10.30pm, we were greeted with a grunt and very surly service from all three (young) staff in the pub. They all clearly wanted to be somewhere else and require a course on manners as well as customer service. After having sought out this place for its historical significance.... we WON'T be going back.

We visited this pub after noticing it in a good tourist guide. It was really up to our expectations. Cozy, two-storeys but narrow place. Together with the traditional fire place, a warm place. Tourists like to visit it yet after work is popular with locals as well. During our week long visit we came back two times. Recommended!

A real traditional pub, with lots of dark wood, an open fire and an excellent choice of Fullers beers. Up a quiet, cobbled street, but just yards from the hubbub of the West End and Covent Garden, this is a real oasis for those seeking a little tranquility, and a real alternative to the chain and themed pubs that abound....
