Oxford Street is basically a huge high street good for shopping. All the usual high street brands are here. H&M, M&S, all sorts of department stores like Debenhams, Selfridges with its gorgeous windows, and all the high street brands, next, forever 21, gap, mango, topshop and so on, plus things like Boots, body shop, lush, all sorts of phone shops...... We went here around new years and it was amazing as it always is. Around the Christmas period the lights around Oxford Street look lovely and it makes the shopping experience even better. There are all the shops you could want and you will more than probably spend a lot more than you want! There are also many restaurants and... More

I have never seen shopping like this in all my travels. Thus one street has two of everything in either direction. You can find almost 80% of what you're looking for on Oxford Street. From jackets to boots to restaurants to high-end and souvenirs you name it Oxford Street has got it.

Great for shopping. Took the kids and used some hours to get all we wanted. Easy access with subway or taxi.

Stay at London is never complete without a visit to Oxford Street. You can see crowds of people walking, entering various shops, taking photographs, bargaining with street vendors and some just staring at the shops and admiring them I guess. Heavy rush of vehicles can be seen on the road with the red double decker buses and other tour buses... More

Every shop you could wish for, not as many people as I originally assumed. Streets near it also have a lot fo shops as well, so you can find everything your looking for.

One day is not enough if you want to visit every store at the Oxford Street. This is a must visit place for every shopaholic and you can find brands that fit any budget. Visiting with your boyfriend/husband? No worries. Its a lot of great cafe's, bars and restaurants around where you can place your man. ;)

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
