We did the tour last night. Amy, the guide, was extremely knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout. She projected her voice so well we had no trouble hearing. Meeting point for the tour was easy to find.

There is probably more standing and listening than long sessions of walking. You are on your feet for 90 minutes + but about 30 minutes walking

We stayed in Travelodge Tower Bridge. Obviously nothing fancy but great location. About 10 min walk to start if this tour.
