This is a long-standing gallery in London's most expensive borough just a stone's throw from High Street Kensington station. It has a programme of exhibitions throughout the year apart from the summer holidays drawn from a stable of artists some of whom are contemporary females with a Mc or Mac in their surnames, viz. Caroline McAdam Clark, Christine McArthur, Jennifer McRae. In the past I have seen great works by artists from previous generations such as Ethel Walker and Kyffin Williams. There is currently a summer exhibition showcasing selected works from many of their artists. The majority of words are figurative; I've rarely seen many abstract works here. Everything is high quality, but in the final analysis designed, I think, for the walls of a Chelsea townhouse rather than a Hoxton squat.
