A magificent building on the banks of the River Thames. If you have the opportunity then see the building from the river. It gives a different perspective. Wait a while and listen to the bells of "Big Ben" chime

At the moment, Parliament Square is dominated and to a large extent spoilt by the scaffolding and tarpaulins that surround Big Ben and adjacent buildings belonging to the Houses of Parliament. And it will look like that for at least a couple of years. The...More

You could easily pass through on your way to one of the iconic buildings which surround it without knowing the name. It has tall trees and well tended lawns, early morning workers huddle across in every direction, by lunchtime it was swarming with tourists craning...More

Tall shade trees, low walls to sit upon, grassy turf in this otherwise urbanized center are so very welcome. It is very near to St. Margaret's and Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, and the list could go on forever. This is pretty much...More

Next to some of the bigger attractions is a nice park and patch of green with several statues. Many are former Prime Ministers however I was surprised to see Abraham Lincoln among the other statues. Lots of auto traffic surrounding most of the park.

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
