This is an architecturally interesting shopping centre but for shopping it hasn't a great deal to offer. HOWEVER, the view of St. Paul's Cathedral from the roof is spectacular and free!

We found the roof terrace on this shopping mall in the summer and paid another visit in January. The Millennium Bridge and around St Paul's was crowded but there were only a few people on the roof terrace. Great views over St paul's. Recommend to take the lift.

This is a very modern shopping centre right opposite St Pauls cathedral. Take the lift up to the sixth floor where you will find the roof garden. On a clear day this offers a magnificent view of St Pauls Cathedral and a 180 degree view around London. There is a garden terrace and café which in summer would be delightful.... More

Modern design ,well turned out young staff but premium priced drinks . If it is a foggy or gloomy day most of the point of going disappears (literally). Here the view is the thing.

So the terrace at the top was practically deserted on Boxing Day. It's particularly impressive at night when the stairs are lit up. Wonderful views of the city for free!

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
