This is modern architecture with a bite. The Gherkin'. It stands out in the otherwise brick and morter building area of most of London. Very nice contrast!

If one watches a lot of British films or television, this building is frequently featured as an icon or symbol of London. I made a special trip to see it. Better yet, booked a restaurant where I could stare at the building. Lovely.

Got treated to lunch by the 'Winger'; £72 per couple for two courses with a glass of wine. The food, service and views were all top notch; well recommended.

I really love looking at the Gherkin and its beautiful architecture. Though it's impossible to get a good photo of the whole building without other buildings in the way, so don't even bother trying.

Absolutely stunning you won't be disappointed lots of opportunity to take some great photos. There is a nice cafe located on the ground floor, and nearby there are quiet a few attractions.

An amazing architectural building. This place is well worth checking out. It's become another iconic London building and rightly so, because wether or not you like modern buildings this is an art form.

Wonderful views on a clear day. The bar is very popular so you may have to wait to get in and even longer for a seat. Recommend the restaurant if your able to get a reservation.

We went to the Gerkin for a family celebration in a private dining room. We had pre drinks in the bar at the very top and the views were amazing, especially after nightfall. Food was good and staff attentive, would visit again.

Silly question, is the restaurant now open to the public? If so does it require reservations and is there a dress code? I have a 13 year old who is fascinated with the building and would love to go inside if possible.

I have no idea :-) I was on my way to the airport, so my visit was too brief. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Enjoy your visit :-)
