We booked a Malaysian food class for 4 of us and came away wiser and fuller than we arrived! Fran is lovely - very knowledgeable and sharing of her tips on the key to taste and flavouring Malay food. A great experience in the relaxed surroundings of her home where we did the cooking rather than watched an expert. Looking... More

I cannot fault this cooking course one bit! From the initial warm welcome to the food we got to eat at the end it was absolutely spot on. The menu was interesting, instructions easy to follow, questions welcomed, principles of taste explained, and most importantly the food was delicious. With tips on everything from where to source international ingredients to... More

Fran is a fantastic teacher and the class was fab! My favourite dish was the Laksa Lemak from the Malaysian menu. I've learned so many things! She is not only a very good teacher but also a lovely person to spend the time with. She knows how to adjust the recipe to your needs/preferences and will still taste authentic. Will... More

Fran is friendly and knowledgable. The food is fantastic, my partner and I would love to do all the classes. You will leave with a smile on your face and a full belly of food you have cooked from scratch. This time we went for Menu 6.

We had another fun cook up with the vivacious Fran, knowledgeable and full of great SE Asian cooking hacks. Too broke to travel to the food markets of Bangkok and KL, dont despair, a few hours with Fran will transport you. Fran has a great taste palate and I could honestly say our food tasted really authentic.

My best friend organised a South east cooking class for my birthday at Franka's. I had a brilliant 3.5 hours of hospitality, education, fun, great food and great company. Franka's base knowledge of South East Asian flavours is impressive. She clearly explained the relevance of each ingredient to a dish and how and why some foods are more yummy than... More

Fran is a cool Italian girl with clearly a great deal of experience with Thai and S. Asian food and people. She gives you a good inside for all the right ingredients which are so important for when you made Thai food and she makes the whole experience of learning Thai cuisine so fun and enjoyable but also she is... This was the second class I've taken with Fran - this time learning a Thai menu which included green chicken curry, prawn fritters and the most UNBELIEVABLE sausages (as unlikely as that sounds). Friendly, relaxed and a born teacher - you learn without it feeling like a lesson. And you do the dishes entirely by yourselves, each of the maximum... More
