I really don't know why this memorial has a link to the Machine Gun Corps - but they were very brave men drawn from many Regiments. The statue itself dramatic and worth a visit.

The statue of David is commemorating the Machine Gun Corps heroes and it represents the Goliath defeater with its large sword in his hand, flanked by two bronze machine guns. Its location makes it easier to visit it and to take nice pictures.
