The London Silver Vaults are underground and approached by a small street just the east of Chancery Lane. The vaults with 4 ft thick walls lined with steel have been converted into shops each with its own massive steel security door. You are free to wander round this Aladdin's cave where silver both traditional and modern sparkles in every corner.... More

I never even knew that the vaults existed but s friend wanted to see them so I went with him. I'm so glad I did. They are basically shops selling silver in the vaults that were historically used to store silver items belonging to the silver traders. There are shops selling new modern items and shops selling antique table wear... More

Have been meaning to go here for years. What an odd, interesting and worthwhile visit. All shops in old vaults located in a nondescript building. The silver is incredibly displayed. If you need/want anything with an excellent provenance or a unique item, this is the place to go. Yes, it can be expensive but there are smaller things to suit... More

Some unusual and fine quality items, the likes of which you do not normally see---if you Do see them elsewhere, it will likely never approach the tooling of this place---they are the premium of the silver products!

I was recommended here by a Hatton Garden contact many years ago. It is in a deep basement just off Chancery Lane and visiting it is quite an experience as you are literally walking into a massive underground safe with dozens of individual traders each within their own vault. Silver is the main commodity on sale here - in vast... More

An aladins cave of goodies. So nice just to walk around and window shop or buy the item that was always wanted but never got around to buying.

the London Silver Vaults are a wonderful cornerstone of history displaying vast amounts of beautiful collections of silver. The individuality of some of the pieces is truly something to behold and the range of prices means that it is an inclusive destination for all budgets. Certainly I will look forward to visiting again and adding to my collection of timepieces.

Don't leave London without going to the Silver Vaults! Most visitors to London don't even know this place exists, and that's a shame. Whenever we are in London we go there. Give yourself plenty, and I mean PLENTY of time to wander through shop after shop after shop containing an extensive collection of old, vintage and newer silver items. Last... More

Walking along in a new part of london came across the vaults and decided to take a look.....well was worth the effort....the security is tight so can not say too much, but if you have an eye for good solid silver product to either view or purchase this is the place.

An interesting selection of shops with mainly vintage silver and silver plate items. Wonderful craftsmanship on show in the items for sale and some great ideas for presents with some interesting items that'd struggle to find else where.

tom y, Manager at The London Silver Vaults, responded to this review

Thank you for review - Between 80-90% of the silver on sale is antique silver, the majority is actually sterling silver. We have silver dating back to over 300 years and more right up to contemporary and modern. More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
