I first saw Les Miserables on 20 April 1991 (it was a special anniversary which is why I'm so certain of the date). Since then I have returned countless times over the years and, till yesterday, the most recent cast I saw at The Queens included Alfie Boe and Matt Lucas - and yes I was lucky enough to also... My wife and I went to see Les Miserables at the Queens Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue as part of our 40th wedding anniversary celebrations. We are great fans of the show and have seen it 5 times now. Each time is a fresh and new experience with a different cast and it is in our opinion the greatest piece of musical... More

I've seen this show a few times now and I never get tired of it. From the staging to the music, the songs and the performers - you just cannot beat it. I get tingles down my spine every time I hear the opening notes. It's a feast for the senses and not to be missed if you enjoy musical... More

We love this show! We watched this a short while ago and can honestly say it is one of our top 3 musicals! The standout performer for us was Carrie who played Eponine. I would watch this show again and again and especially to watch Carrie - she has such a brilliant voice.

My mum bought me tickets to watch this for my 30th birthday. It was absolutely amazing. Extremely captivating. I was drawn in from the start and began crying throughout the show. My husband had never seen it before and felt he should have watched the show first for him to have fully appreciate the show. I found it to be... More

Went yesterday with my wife for her birthday. My 2nd time of seeing about about her 8th lol. Haven't seen it for around 5 years and although it's still very good, I don't think it's as good as the production we saw last time round. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed though and will definitely see again at some point.

Though I have already seen read the book and seen the movie, seeing the musical still moved me to tears. Cast and score were excellent no doubt, but gotta hand it to the creatives - costume, props, lighting. Everything was just flawless. Was extremely thrilled to have paid only GBP 14.90 for this, but would've been more willing to pay... More

The production was excellent and the venue delightful. A long performance with just the one interval but it was totally worth it. Cannot recommend highly enough. Straight to Chinatown afterwards for a late supper. All made a perfect evening.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
