This is a part of the history of London and one which goes back many years where free speech was not as freely allowed as it is today and people could use this area to discuss and talk about their passions whether political, religious or environmental amongst other subjects Worth a visit here on a Sunday Morning

This is stomped in history and us still today a place where people can come to exercise freedom of speach. People even still stand on old crates or banana boxes when doing their speaches.

Had a theatre break in London. Always wanted to witness Speakers' Corner. I was not disappointed. The banter between the Speakers and the public was very entertaining. Very religious and political. Would recommend a visit if passing.

Speakers' Corner is located at northeast corner of Hyde Park by Marble Arch. Since 1872, Londoners can lawfully make speeches on Sunday to anyone who will listen and this tradition still lives on encouraging public discourse and spirited social engagement. You can walk around the park and listen to the speakers in.

We wandered by on a Sunday morning while we were waiting for Selfridge's to open. There were a number of speakers, each with an audience, speaking about a range of political topics. We listened for a minute or so each and then kept wandering through the lovely park. If you have never been, it is worthy of checking out at... More

Went a couple of times. Just to satisfy my curiosity - heard too much about it and a lot of interesting stories - but it was nobody here. First time I thought thai I am in the wrong place and checked again the park map that is close to the shop opposite to the entrance. But it was thr right... More

Hyde park is beautiful and worth a visit on its own, but is especially worthwhile to visit on Sundays when they have the Speaker's Corner. When we were there it was mostly a weird assortment of people preaching their religious beliefs in loud tones. You can interact with the oddballs and if you like, you can even stand up and... More

I had read about this site, so went by twice and nobody was there. Maybe it was a sign that I should go up, but I really don't have much to say, and certainly nothing that anyone wants to listen to. The Hyde Park area is quite nice, lots of picnicking families. Entrance is free. There are no public toilets.

We visited Hyde park on a glorious English sunny day. The park is an amazing place. The squirrels literally eat from your hand. There was nobody speaking at the corner which was a shame but still worth the visit. Little coffee stand nearby great coffee.
