They have happy hour on a Monday so the drinks are cheap. It's a nice venue upstairs as it's a bit quieter and you can relax more.

I am very often in this street because it's on my way to work and it is a very beautiful street full of restaurants and food places from every corner of the world, pubs and cafes including Patisserie Valerie which is my favourite. Including all the other stuff you expect to find in Soho. You know, it's Old Compton Street.

Soho is full of interesting streets and places. Although some of these look a tad drab by day, they really do change as the night draws in. Generally a friendly crowd (some drunkenness can cause problems, but not often)

Another little off the beaten track street which is packed full of international shops, decent bars and cafes as well as the brilliant Samuel Smith pub.....we popped into Poppies for Fish and Chips, still a little hectic along here for my liking but worth hunting around as there are some good bargains to be found.visited sept 2016.

My family visited Itsu. Cheap and somewhat cheerless. Insipid chicken soup which tasted more of spices than chicken, unpleasant potu [more than half of which was left] dull, flavourless sushi. I have had a tasty Itsu meal before now- but this branch has to try a LOT harder before we would visit again.

Lots to see if you're a people watcher with a great selection of pubs including a Samuel Smiths Pub (Yorkshire Beer at half London prices and very drinkable!!) and restaurants of the United Nations. Sadly, our favourite, 'The Amalfi' Italian restaurant has closed down - sad days but Hey Ho, upwards and onwards! Settled for a Spanish Restaurant (forgotten it's... More

I visited here one afternoon and it seemed to have a good range of bars, cafes, restaurants and specialist shops. I liked the Algerian Coffee Stores which has been here for 120 years. You can get a coffee here for £1. They also sell a wide range of unusual teas and coffees. I imagine it is a totally different place... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
