This bar is a really nice place to go for a drink with friends if you’re looking to get away from all the harcourt street stuff. Place can be busy but bar staff are really professional and quick to make quality cocktails with a decent selection of beers on tap too. If you can get a seat in the smoking area your set for night.

The space is cramped and badly set out.!Staff arrogant and act like they are doing you favour. Smelled badly of toilets and very noisy- you have to shout at the person next to you.
Not our vibe. Overrated.

Charged 70£ for 2 cocktails
Nov 2018
The place is cramped and the wine pretty average; the cocktails though were good. I'm however totally disappointed after receiving the bank statement with a staggering 70£ for 2 cocktails: that's the bill for 1 week of food shopping. Ridiculous and totally unjustified, no matter the quality.

Horrendous experience
Dec 2018 • Couples
Booked a table months in advance for special occasion. The bar called us on the day to make sure we arrived on time or we would lose the table.

Arrived to find the previous booking was still at our table, and were still being served drinks. As it’s a small bar, we were told to wait on the stairs which was fairly embarrassing. The staff were little to no help. They were not trying to move the previous booking off the table and were doing next to nothing to help us.

We ended up leaving the bar as after-waiting 20 mins for the table we booked months in advance, it was still not free. Would not recommend. Poor management and unfortunately upset our evening

Delightful and special

This is a tiny Bar tucked away in the back of Angel at 69 Colebrooke Row. It really loves to serve excellent cocktails in an atmosphere where you feel at home. Flavours and presentations never fail to impress, and the best thing is the continuous replenishment of water to keep you hydrated whilst you savour your drink. Best to book, but if you happen to stumble in unplanned and they can fit you in then it feels even more special. The Staff are outstanding with their attention to your comfort and knowledge of their range of mixes. I love it.

Disappointment

I went to this cocktail bar after hearing great things. You have to book, all of which I thought bodied well. We arrived at 7.45 and there was a great buzz and the waiters are all in white and looked good they were also really attentive and friendly the one hour we were there. We both love cocktails and even though we are not big drinkers we will drink for an hour then stop. We were staying in a hotel up the road so we wouldn’t have far to walk. The first 2 cocktails we ordered were ok but not great and we carried on over the hour to work our way through the list. I had 8 cocktails and my partner 7 in 1 hour. As I said we have quite a bit of experience in cocktail drinking and these 15 showed virtually no creativity. There was nor garnish on the cocktails only the alcohol in the glass except for the beetroot one where the glass had been smoked. There was no attempt at mixing the sense of smell into it with stuff stuck under your nose on the glass so you can smell as well as taste. After the hour we were there we got the bill £165. These were £10.50 each plus service The worst was still to come. I said to my partner how can we have drunk so much ,usually we can drink 3 or 4 in one hour and we need a stretcher to get home and said it will hit us when we get out. It never did we were hardly drunk. We had no hangover the next day which was good and bad. These drinks were all very small and there cannot even have been a full measure in each. I am not a person that can hold my drink and not to be drunk after 8 cocktails is a disgrace. As I said we were booked in at 7.45 on Saturday so why does the owner of this bar not get in touch with me and refund at least half of my bill. The bar with no name has probably not got one for a reason. You should hang your head in shame and I hope trading standers investigates. My advise to anyone thinking of going, stick to the beer.

The Bar with no name .. More like the Bar with no class. Not to be confused as some appear on here with a Bar with the same name in Northampton which is also the Bar with no name .

One of THE best I have ever been

We sat at the bar, which it happens to be my favourite place to sit in a bar because I can talk with the bartender. To be honest I had a better memory of the location from the other time I visited the place a couple of years ago, still it was very nice. The selection of cocktail is just amazing, such as the italian bartender who made our night. Absolutely you got to try the Bloody Mary, with the add oyster made of vodka and tomato: a touch of pure class. Everytime I am in London I will go back.

A Great Find in Northampton !

On my daughters reccommendation I went for just a coffee on a Sunday morning.
I felt I had been transported to a select Bohemian place in London or other major city !!!
I am sick of the usual nondescript 'cookie cutter' overrated venues with their corporate look and inflated prices! The staff in here were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent customer survice and a perfectly made coffee! I am looking forward to going back again soon !

Spur of the moment visit!

At the end of our meal at Oldroyd (well worth a visit) our waiter recommended this gem. So glad we went. A warm welcome was followed by a very brief wait for a table in this cosy yet very stylish venue. The waiters are immaculately dressed in period attire, and the decor evokes a bygone golden era. The pianist was playing some divine jazz and making it look effortless. Top that with great cocktails and regular top-ups of water and you've got the perfect end to a great evening. Don't miss...
