Car Booting

I have gone to this place with my son-in-law and thinks its such a great place to bag a bargain. Everything from clothes, shoes, brick-a-brack, toys, books, and junk.

I have been coming to this Carboot sale for 3 years and it is getting worse. When I started they open for the seller to set up from 9am then year on it is getting later and now it is after 10am. Therefore I started to do a drop off that cost me £10 to enter between 9.30am to 10am... More

Thanks for your review, we would like to respond to your comments below. 1) Firstly, our timings have not changed in the near 6 years of operation. We have always welcomed walk in sellers from 10.15am and this has never been altered. We have closed at 2.30pm for the past 5 years, at the request of our sellers and because... More

£29 for indoor table plus clothing rail is a bit overpriced for the fact that there were not many people visiting and they made you carry the clothing rail all the way down to your spot from car park area. No wheels on clothing rails- toilets are a disgrace- water was all over the floor and dirt. Really expected more... More

Staying in London, we were excited to find a car boot in the city. Early entrance was 5 pounds each - we waited til 11.30 and paid a pound. Very disappointing. Very few stalls and most of them were selling stock which would not have been accepted by charity shops. I will not be returning. By contrast we went to... More

Booked but not confirmed within 48 hours and only day before I emailed and they curtly told me it was full. Could have down with knowing that early in the week ie 48 hours as stated in their blurb, so I can plan my weekend. Buyers rude and want things for nothing!! Pushed for me to sell new with labels... My experience has been very bad. I requested a pitch with car on site (I was going alone) and ticked the box for an alternative pitch + clothes rail/table hire (thought this would cover my goods being watch/protected/not available to buyers to look at/touch without me being there) as a back up plan. My money was taken for pitch with... More

I love walking around carboot fairs, and this one is my favourite. Great looking through the wide and varied stalls and hunting down that cut price bargain. Can even get a bacon bagette and coffee for less than £3 to keep the energy up. The indoor section gets very busy, especially when rain is predicted, makes it more worthwhile to... More

This was a terrible garage sale like atmosphere. Granted, it was a cold windy Sunday, but it was just a bunch of junk. In heaps and piles. I would not recommend it.

A really well run event, that is well attended with a broad range of buyers for all price levels. Great outdoor space in school courtyard, plus indoor table space. On site toilets and coffee bar with snacks. Strict well planned timetable for sellers arriving in order for cars to be offsite promptly if not remaining on the property. Follow instructions... More

Very impressed with the organization of this car boot sale. The weather, which you can't control, was perfect as well. I arrived at my allotted time waited some 5 minutes to get in and was guided to my spot. The booked table was waiting for me at my spot. The crowds were amazing and my goal to downsize was achieved.... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
