A great way to cross the Thames

A great way to get from Grenwich to Docklands, or the other way round if you like. Simply touch in with a wireless card or oyster and you are away. A bargain for £3.50. I've taken friends there a few times now and have never had to queue. Combine with a trip down the Thames for splendid views of London.

We enjoyed our return trips on the Emirates cable car and would recommend it to anyone who has the time to spare. Pay at the turnstile as it's cheaper than paying at the maned windows

For the price you pay with an oyster card (GBP3.50) one way, it's okay. We chose a not so sunny day to go - mainly because we were already in the area and thought to give it a try. The carriage is shared with 6 other people - I guess you'd be lucky to have it all to yourself or... More

I was staying in charlton and used the cable car to commute to the excel centre. With an exhibitor pass I obtained tickets for £2.50 each way. The experience overall was excellent. The views are extensive as you would expect. The journey saved a considerable amount of time I would otherwise have spent on the tube/dlr.

Last time we came it was raining very heavy and you could not see much. Today very sunny ☀️ with light 💨 a little saying at the top of the flight. No need to Q if you have a Visitor or Oyster card. All can be done by checking in and out like on the tube. Great 👍 views over... More

Firstly it was very easy to get to we arrived via the DLR and it was about a three minute walk from the station. No toilets on site, but there is some at The Crystal cafe two minutes away, so not a problem. We didn't make use of the Oyster card discount but would have done if we had planned... More

Interesting attraction with perfect view overseeing O2 2 Arena and providing great view over East London. Doesn't cost much and is well accessible by DLR or Tube.

My husband and I rode this on a week stay in London. One side of the line is close to the O2 arena built for the 2012 Olympics. It is a smooth ride. Use your Oyster card for a discount. It is more expensive than the tube. Not for people afraid of heights.

This offers another way (along w/ the Sky Garden) to see London from high up inexpensively. Getting there and back is very easy, lots of signs directing you to it. The views were amazing and definitely worth the trip.

Used it a couple of times this week whilst at an expo at the ExCeL. Great experience. If only there were more of these around London. It's a fairly short journey but great value for money as an attraction. Ok value as a commute. If you are at either O2 or ExCeL I would recommend riding it. Rode once at... More
