We watched the production of the Phantom of the Opera here. Older style theater with three levels of seating - we were disappointed in our seats on the middle level because the upper balcony obscured our view of the upper stage. Great production - highly recommend.

We saw Phantom at the Opera at this beautiful theater and I was absolutely impressed. The theater seats a lot of people and it seems each seat had a decent view, except maybe the balcony, which seemed too high and not sloped enough. We sat in the very front row and it felt like I was a part of the... More

We saw the afternoon matinee of Phantom of the Opera...it was very well done and the Theatre was very beautiful. Very close seats, tight on the knees! If you are into theatre....add this to your itinerary!

Took my son for his bday, the theatre is so old and it has so much character but there is no leg room to sit making it uncomfortable after a while, the show is done so well and the props are fantastic, definitely well worth a watch

The show was amazing! No fault there at all. I wish we had booked further in advance as we ended up booking the grand circle, only row d and central. But the view wasn't very good. I'd definitely advise to book the stalls or royal circle. Anything above is too high. Also the staff were all lovely, the ones in... More

A brilliant theatre just down the road from Leicester Square. Seats are comfortable and have more leg room than some other theatres.

I can't tell you much about the show, as I only watched part of it, as the people next to us were so rude with their mobile phone. He got up soon after the show began to go out and answer his phone. I was pleased as I thought he wouldn't be back. However, in the middle of the Phantom... More

Second visit to this wonderful Musical, last time around 30 years ago, when starred Michael Crawford & Sarah Brightman! We were not disappointed then, nor this time! The leading performers gave a great rendition of Christine & The Phantom. We especially enjoyed the powerful singing of Ben Forster, I hope we can go again without such a long delay next... More

Every time i arrive in London, I try to watch the phantom at this theater. It is so reminiscent of the rich english history. Beautiful architecture and you actually get a flavor of the old theater whilst being inside - its not at all modern and that is such a plus :) coming again !

On the morning of march 11th we got a tour backstage at phantom of the Opera and it was amazing. It was very informative and and fun. We went to see Phantom in the evening and it was very good, but the seat were incredible cramped in the grand circle. The view was alright but missed the corners of the... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
