Like many others on here I had received a voucher for a spa day and champagne lunch at the montcalm, and was looking forward to a nice meal and a treatment or two in the spa. I was however left hugely disappointed was still very hungry after lunch being served only a chicken breast and some green veg, I couldn't... More

A gift of a 2-hour spa experience with prosecco lunch was bought for my daughter and myself and we were much looking forward to a bit of relaxation and lunch in central London. The 5* hotel is ornate and opulent, the staff are very helpful and gracious. The spa, however, is a different story. It is very, very small. There... More

Voucher for spa and prosecco lunch. Spa part was perfect - really quiet and relaxed and great service. Really clean and perfect temperature. Very good changing area. Water and magazines provided. Lunch was extremely poor. Prosecco only good bit. Limited menu and opted for steak and paid surcharge. Steak was tiny and looked like leftovers. Burnt garlic bulb on side.... More

Started off with two hours at the spa. Receptionist showed me around and provided me with slippers and a towel. Spa is very small however that wasn't a problem to me as I'm not fussed. It was very clean and the pool and Jacuzzi we really nice and warm. The chafing room got busy on my way out and I... More

We spent a couple of hours at this spa recently. The spa itself is quite small with average steam room and sauna. Jacuzzi good size. The best bit of this place by far are the staff. They couldn't do enough for us with positive and happy attitudes. The quality of treatments were good too.

Had an extremely relaxing and amazing time at the Montcalm Spa. Facilities were very impressive and overall cleanliness was to an extremely high standard. Absolutely loved the pool with the wave settings so you can select speed and literally swim on the spot. The number of people using the spa was also reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

My partner and I visited the Spa with a voucher I had for Champagne Spa day, the hotel its self is pure luxury however we would say the spa is very average. The staff there were very friendly and helpful, they provide you with slippers and a towel, explaining where everything is however the changing rooms are small so if... More

Despite the grand entrance and impressive decor, our visit to this spa left us feeling particularly glad we had come using a wowcher. The changing rooms do not lead through to the pool and we weren't given instructions past the changing area so immediately felt a bit lost, which isn't a biggie but better instruction could have been provided. Once... More

I've used this hotel for spa days, lunch and afternoon teas with my boyfriend and with friends. It has a luxury feel without being patronising or overly attentive. The spa is a great way to relax after a hectic week and fabulous if followed by a lunch or afternoon tea in the restaurant. Service is great and the atmosphere fresh... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
