Brompton Cemetery is situated between the Old Brompton and Fulham Roads and thus in daylight hours provides access between them along a grand path walled in a neo-classical style accessed at the Old Brompton Road end through an impressive gatehouse with a triumphal arch. Closer...More

I found this place fascinating to wander around. We were lucky enough to have time for a second visit when the catacombs were open for tours. Our guide was very informative and it was great to have this insight into English history.

We went for a walk through this beautiful cemetery since was very close to our hotel. I love reading the tombstones, memorial quotes and epitaphs... everything I would have imagined in a London cemetery!! Perfect for walks

Brompton Cemetery is near Earl's Court tube and is pleasant for a walk and a bit of peace in a very busy area. Well maintained with mostly Victorian graves.

We passed through this old cemetery on our way from Earl's Court to Chelsea. I always loved British Cemetery and the way the local people live them. There were people running, cycling, strolling with a dog.

We took a stroll through the cemetery since it was a short walk from our hotel. It was everything I would imagine a London cemetery would be. Peaceful, historical, a bit creepy with the fog and magnificent all rolled into one. There were abundant birds...More

I've realized unusual moviment of people on this cemetery, going for running, walking with them pets or just using as a shortcut between Fulham Rd and Old Brampton Rd

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

There is no fee to pay to walk around the cemetery. It is unusual in that it is both a place for burials and a public park.
