Found ourselves in this pub while on a day trip from South Yorkshire and looking for a pub near Holborn tube. Wow! Food and atmosphere were both excellent and the bar staff couldn't have been more friendly. Best feature though, is the couple who manage...More

I booked a meal for 6 in advance for last Saturday late afternoon and we were very pleased with the food indeed. It is the usual pub grub but cooked beautifully and at a fair price for London. They were closing the upstairs bar/dining room...More

We met up with friends to have a drink or two at the Princess Louise. Old but well-maintained, we had an almost private room for 6 of us. The servers are not very nice, but who cares. All they have to do is pour the...More

This is a wonderful old-fashioned pub. The interior design should not be missed. Been here before but I keep coming back. This time we even went upstairs to the restaurant. Typical pub food, tasty and it made a perfect lunch!

Lovely Samuel Smiths Pub in central Holborn. Usual good value/good beers, and all in all well staffed. However I really don't appreciate being ignored several times whilst trying to order a second drink by bar staff that cannot bare to make eye contact with you....More

A great traditional pub, looks more steampunk than steampunk! Ales seem to be mainly Sam Smith but the beer was excellent. It was £3.20 a pint which I thought was pretty okay for London prices Try the wheat beer in particular!

Inner London’s busiest streets crisscross quiet
cobbled lanes for an effect that can be urbane or
quaint – or an intriguing blend of both – depending on
the particular corner you turn. Due to its especially
convenient location, bustling Holborn hosts an
excellent range of hotels, eateries, and shops to suit
practically any taste or budget. With major
attractions like the British Museum and Somerset House

Only just seen your question. This place is one of my favourites in London, and I've been to hundreds. The previous answer mentions the ground floor bar area but somehow has failed to mention the lovely, authentic Victorian... More
