A perfect pint

The Star Tavern is worth visiting. A great place to sit down and enjoy a perfect pint in an environment that has so many stories to tell.

Nice cozy place, nice area bear Buckingham palace and Victoria station. But the menu is quite short. Staff is nice though (FYI no wifi if needed for tourists)

One of the last non nonsense pubs left in Belgravia. No pretensions. Puberty grub abd a great fish finger sandwich. Yes it is possible ! Coal fire. Staff short of fire and charm but brewery owned , Fuller's, who seldom get that right.

The classic pub looks dark but its actually like stay at home. The foos has a great quality and taste. Great selection of Ales and they allow dogs inside (which is great)

Well it would have been but for research from CAMRA guide to London's best beer and pubs. Even so it was unexpected to find a traditional back street pub in a mews in refined Belgravia. Would never have found this without some help. Just off Belgrave Square this is a traditional pub of the back street type. Clean, welcoming interior... More

Stumbled across this pub several years ago & have returned several times. It is in a quaint little mews in Belgravia/Knightsbridge. I think the first time we went was after a shopping trip in Knightsbridge. It is so quaint from the outside. In the summer the hanging baskets are spectacular. In the winter months the open fires make it most... More

I have used this pub for almost 20 years now , It is without a doubt one of the best pubs in London , The food is excellent . I would recommend any body visiting London to share the excellent and unique surroundings especially in the winter months with the real open fire places . It truly is a most... More

Made the mistake of visiting the pub yesterday for Sunday lunch. The roast lamb was awful ;you needed a microscope to find the meat amidst the fat and gristle. It was a very disappointing lunch which included a couple of tiny pieces of carrot ,one small piece of broccoli and a burnt Yorkshire pudding. Leaving aside the food this is a... More

Visited with friends, one of which is a real ale fan and who loved the beer in this place. I can't comment on the beer, but the mulled cider was very tasty, and the food was good, although two out of three of the pies on the specials menu were not available which was a bit disappointing. Place itself is... More

Came here before the proms. It stank! Seriously bad. Of eggs, or sewage. We were assured by the barman that the smell would go.... It didn't. Such a shame, good location and old man-y pub.

Staying in Belgravia

Neighbourhood Profile
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
