Opera in a music hall? Shouldn't fit but it did. Blue Beard's Castle. One off experience. Stalls cleared for the orchestra. Next performance Cinderella just as itt should be.

Went to see a vlogger with my daughter, staff were very friendly and helpful, seats were a little uncomfortable but not as bad as some places, was very clean and tidy

The new Charlie Parker opera is beautifully sung and staged but the plot lines are somewhat odd and unsatisfactory. Still as ever at Hackney , a great night

They have done lovely restoration work on the Hackney empire. How ever the opera of Charlie" Parker was very slow could not hear the main singer as the music overpowered his voice. Did not project any of Charlie Parker work.

The tesco car park is very small and you can only park there for 2 or 3 hours . It's is unlikely that it will be enough time for you as the show is around 3 hours long and you will need time to queue and find your seats etc... More
