I consider myself a lucky chap indeed that my wife is a huge fan of their stuff as I can treat her throughout the year without breaking the bank ;o) If you are looking for quirky but affordable costume jewelry its the only place worth visiting in the West End. They occasionally do items of clothing (eg, hats) which are... More

We visited the shop just off Oxford Street twice during our short stay in London and we were not dissappointed. The staff were friendly and most helpful allowing us to try on things and look at items with pleasure. We purchased both times. Only negative thing was that I thought some of the items could have been better displayed instead... More

If like me, you first new of this brand because of QVC, and that's the reason you might be going here, it definitely well worth a visit, or planning a trip around. The shop is easy to find, if arriving from Bond Street station. They have a a large range of different pieces a lot more than what I thought... More

How I loved going to Butler&Wilson's fulham road shop in the nineties ! The staff was friendly, helpful, the quality and design faultless and I still own very many pieces that I enjoy wearing . For Valentine this year, my very kind husband gave me two items from their new collection and bought one of the necklaces on sale. The... More

I had my butler and Wilson eye brooch repaired. When it was returned the brooch was damaged. When I phoned the repairs department Maia/Seema. I was told to return it at my cost and IF THEY DEEMED it damaged they would make good. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? They were off handed and made me feel that... More

I had the opportunity to call in briefly to have a look around this branch of the store in the Fulham Road. It was a very pleasant experience and I treated myself to one of their iconic bracelets. The shop itself was beautifully presented and most of their goods were from the Couture collection. I was not disappointed.....

Bought a pair of cufflinks from these people. Broke the third time I wore them- just snapped clean in half. I wrote to them asking for a replacement and was told not without a receipt. Who keeps a receipt for cufflinks? And who expects cufflinks to break anyway. Never again. And the customer service was very unfriendly, both on purchase... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
